We have adopted international standards and practices in our sustainability reporting strategy, which adheres to GRI G3 Guidelines. Our report this year was assigned the most prestigious ‘A+’ rating by GRI.

• We have conducted more than 300 town halls and 2840 reward/ recognition programs. 1,430 employees have moved to different levels and functions through Internal Job Postings within Aegis. The differently abled headcount has been increased to 1% of the global headcount and nine women employees hired in senior leadership roles. 977,640 man-days of training have been provided.

• The Global Command Center (GCC) first-of-its-kind facility in India uses the latest technology to help businesses monitor customer satisfaction on a real-time basis. It helps visualize scenarios, create projections, and plan for more effective operations, leading to an ever-increasing profitability and increasing the revenues by 53%.

• Aegis prepares its audited consolidated financials under the Indian-GAAP and also follows local-GAAP in respective countries. We will eventually start preparing consolidated financials in IFRS, once IFRS becomes applicable in India.

• We introduced initiatives to reduce the energy consumption and have achieved 1.5 per cent reduction over last year’s consumption in India. Electricity consumption per employee decreased by 4.8%. There is reduction in power consumption by 3%. Diesel consumption has reduced by 62%. Paper consumption per employee has been reduced by 24%.

• 9,736 Aegisites volunteered for 248 CSR activities touching the lives of 22,892 people raising USD 49,010 and supporting 124 Not-for-Profit Organizations. Some of the activities undertaken in the reporting year are Power of One Handful of Rice, Global Blood Donation, Book Library at Snehasadan, Adopt a Soldier Campaign, Platelet Donation.

As an organization, we are convinced that assurance brings credibility to a report. It helps in enhancing the quality and reliability of information provided therein and gives us feedback from a different perspective that is vital in our quest for improvement. This year we engaged Ernst & Young to provide independent assurance as per ISAE 3000.

• We have conducted more than 300 town halls and 1,000 employee engagement and 500 rewards / recognition programs. Our internal job postings helped 950 employees move across to different levels and functions within Aegis.

• Client satisfaction surveys conducted by us have revealed that clients consider Aegis a customer-centric partner, excelling in domain expertise and performance.

• We have adopted IFRS to consolidate our financials for the year 2009. Going forward, we shall consolidate our financials both under Indian GAAP and IFRS.

• Several energy-saving measures were implemented in the area of air-conditioning, lighting, and raw power and DG usage. We have set a target of reducing our energy consumption by 3% this year.

• Aegis Happy World conducted more than 86 activities globally, such as planting fruit trees in tribal villages; blood donation camps; and providing aid to the environmentally, socially, and physically challenged.
