He has a strong business background having spent nearly three decades building companies over a wide range of industries, products, teams and global operations. Lance was the founding CEO of PeopleSupport, a pioneer of BPO in Philippines and developed the company from its founding through its IPO and sale to Aegis. Under Lance’s leadership, PeopleSupport was ranked by Fortune as the 9th fastest growing US public company and was named Employer of the Year in the Philippines. Lance is also no stranger to Aegis having served as Chief Executive Officer of Aegis USA.
S M Gupta
Global Chief People Officer
S.M.Gupta steers the Human Resource function at Aegis - Startek, handling the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and socio-economically diverse 50000+ strong workforce of the organization. He brings with him over 30 years of HR experience across the IT, ITES, Telecom, Retail, Oil and FMCG sectors. In his previous stints, he was associated with organizations such as Tata, Reliance, Kansai Nerolac Paints, Cadila Pharmaceuticals and Essar Oil managing diverse and dynamic functions of People Management, Human Resource Re-engineering, Talent Development and Training.
He joined the Essar Group in 2005, and previously led the HR department for the Telecom and Oil business units of the group. In 2008, he took over the overarching HR function for Aegis. Through his strategic vision, astute decision making and unmatched execution, he has enabled and inspired innovative people strategies, policies and programs across 13 countries. Under his leadership, Aegis was successful in integrating more than 10 companies across 7 geographies, and today, he is building a global institution by bringing over 50000 happy minds together.
As a result of his indefatigable passion for excellence and spirit of achievement, the organisation has been conferred with 93 distinct HR awards from industry bodies such as Aon Hewitt, Great Place to Work, NASSCOM, CII, SHRM, People Matters, NCPEDP, Businessworld and BPeSA among others. A distinguished speaker and a thought leader at various forums and associations, he is committed to working towards creating a progressive workplace, and is a true believer in inclusion and diversity. He is serving as Director on Board of several group companies and is also a Governing Board member of the National Abilympic Association of India. He holds a Bachelor's of Science degree & Master in Business Administration from Kurukshetra University and a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Management.
Chief Financial Officer
Ramesh Kamath, Aegis' numbers man and growth champion, enables our pursuit of productivity with profitability. He oversees our finance-function capabilities while also providing strategic direction to the functions like Finance and Accounts, Commercial, Procurement, Legal and Compliance, and Taxation.
Ramesh's experience of over 30 years has spanned the gamut of finance. In his career, he has performed various roles in different capacities such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Fund Raising, Risk Management, Taxation, and Legal and Compliance.
After kick-starting his career with Wipro, he went on to work with companies such as HCL Perot Systems, Bharti Airtel and Infosys BPO. As the CFO in Infosys BPO, he worked to establish their Finance and Accounts division, after which he moved to the Minacs group, once again in the role of CFO. He had a successful association with them for 6 years helping them fortify their finance game.
Post this tenure, Ramesh took a break from the corporate world and started his entrepreneurial stint as a management consultant. Under this venture, he provided financial leadership and services for Finance and Accounting function.
On a personal note, Ramesh is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. He is firm about being highly committed to ethical practices in every aspect- be it his professional or personal life. That apart, he is also very passionate about reading.
Chief Operating Officer for APAC and Middle East & Africa (MEA)
Sandeep Gulati is a multi-faceted leader and comes with over two decades of extensive experience in diverse functions such as contact center management, strategic planning and project management. In his current capacity, Sandeep is the Chief Operating Officer for APAC and Middle East & Africa (MEA).
In his previous role, Sandeep spearheaded the Global Performance Improvement and Process Excellence for Aegis and managed critical initiatives in process excellence, productivity optimization, six sigma etc. Prior to that he also headed Operations for India CLM & Sri Lanka. Sandeep has also been instrumental in rolling out a first-of- its-kind Global Command Center (GCC) initiative at Aegis from concept to design and execution. This Proactive Intelligence (Pi) is a state-of- the-art business intelligence tool which provides real-time data updates to visually interactive dashboards to decipher actionable intelligence insights.
Previously, he worked with Dell, holding various leadership positions in operations and strategy. As a core team member, he was responsible for rolling out Dell’s India Contact Center Operations. He also spearheaded Dell’s initiative of turning the contact center from a cost to a profit center, for which he was recognized among the Top Global Talents at Dell.
Sandeep has held leadership roles within Operations, On/Near/Off shoring & BPO, Strategic Marketing, M & A, & ‘Green Field’ LEAN business builds & business turnarounds. He is inspired by roles where ideas and opportunities are converted into industry practices and as a professional he has successfully incubated such ideas into profitable business ventures. One such venture was Renasonic E-solutions which grew into a 600 plus people organization and was acquired by a Dubai based group. Sandeep holds a Bachelors’ degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Bangalore University.
Abdullah Al Zahrani
Chief Executive Officer - CCC, KSA
As Chief Executive Officer, Abdullah is responsible for steering, growing and overseeing the overall business operations for CCC. Naturally drawn to people, Abdullah's vision is to transition CCC as an employer of choice in the Kingdom.
Abdullah previously worked at Saudi Telecom Company (STC), wherein he spent 12+ years of his career as General Manager - Customer Care. During his tenure at Saudi Telecom, Abdullah donned various roles within the customer experience domain. In his capacity as CEO, Abdullah has fast become the nucleus of both strategic and operational leadership for Contact Center operations with a resolute focus on improving processes, productivity and other key parameters which led to a radical improvement in overall experience for STC customers. Before his stint at STC, Abdullah worked with GE medical systems for 3 years in Sales.
Abdullah is a graduate from King Fahd University. An avid reader, he likes to keep himself conversant with current events all over the world.

Global Chief Information Officer
Wayne brings a broad spectrum of experience and expertise to Aegis – Startek, including the development of technology and network designs, processes, products, and tools to drive business solutions and client offerings for the federal government as well as companies in the BPO and automotive manufacturing space. He is particularly skilled in network systems, Big Data analytics, and security as well as datacenter infrastructure, storage, and disaster recovery. Additionally, Wayne has been called upon to give expert testimony regarding telecom regulatory and legal affairs. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and is a Cisco Call Center Architect Expert (CCCAE).

During Joe’s 30-year career, he has successfully sold outsourced customer experience solutions to industry-leading brands across a wide variety of business sectors. In his earlier stints, Joe has served as senior vice president of sales for PeopleSupport and Startek, where he helped both organizations expand into new vertical markets. At PeopleSupport, Joe helped lead the company’s meteoric growth and recognition by Fortune Magazine as one of the ten fastest growing public companies in the US. At Startek, Joe shepherded the company’s entry in the healthcare vertical and opened a new chapter in Startek’s growth. Earlier in his career, Joe’s tenacity and determination helped him over-achieve against stringent sales targets at Convergys and Client Logic.
Global Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Secretary
Doug brings almost 20 years of legal experience to the company having begun his career as a litigator and commercial transactions associate with the Baker Donelson law firm. He also has extensive experience serving as in-house counsel in ever increasing roles of responsibility across a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, financial services, and business process outsourcing. He has spent the last five years as the head of Startek’s legal department where he is responsible for the global legal needs of the organization and maintaining the compliance obligations of a U.S. publicly traded company.
